The first European Edition of the Maker Faire took place in Rome. It has been an amazing experience for everyone. People from all over the world came to “the eternal city” seeing which technological devices may change our close future. Without any doubt, 3D printers were the main protagonists of the fair. Of course, 3D Hubs was there.
DAY 1: Educational day + Tech Garage
Six thousand students attended Rome Maker Faire coming from all over Italy.
We experienced students to be very curious and fond of 3D printing, while some teachers were a bit more hesitant :)
In the afternoon, during TechGarage, a lot of experts were walking around the faire. 3D Hubs has been judged as an “amazing idea”, “super”, “what 3D printing needed”.
In the following days the fair was an unbelievable success.
3D Hubs took part in one of the most memorable moments of the faire: 3D print with locally recycled material thanks to Filamaker. The result of the print was perfect, nobody could see the difference with standard material.
On saturday evening, our Rome partner 3Ditaly hosted a large event in its store. 3Ditaly presented Sharebot’s New Generation of 3D printers while Bram showed everyone how newly buyers can start making money with it.
Maker Faire was unforgettable, at what other event do you run into robots all the time?
